OP2626 Gallipoli
The Vibe:
Glen plaid and herringbone patterns invoke 20th century gentry style. They are more common in wool but we’ve spun them in a heavier 360-gram linen cloth like OP2626 Gallipoli. In classic Paladino style, whimsical colour accents enrich the traditional pattern. The heavier fabric means you can wear it across most of the year.
Tailoring Suggestions:
Keep it well structured in classic suiting formats, e.g. a 3X2 double-breasted jacket with peak lapels, or a two-button with notch lapels.
A Neapolitan shoulder keeps the silhouette soft and strong.
Details like pleats and foldover tabs for pants, and wide lapels, add formality.
Style it with:
These fabrics are versatile, and will match most colours.
The preppy feel of these fabrics are best worn as a broken suit, with one of our plain-coloured linens, e.g. forest green (shown here), or in navy or red.
Pair it with a formal shirt, chambray cotton (relaxed), or a cable-knit sweater (for autumn).
